About Prairie Girl Bakery

Prairie Girl Bakery was founded in 2011 by Jean Blacklock to bring high-end cupcakes to Toronto’s downtown core. Today, they serve customers from three downtown locations and are known for cupcakes and homestyle cakes made with trustworthy, whole ingredients.
 
They’re built for modern customers, people who care about what they eat and want more transparency about what’s in their food. Prairie Girl also accommodates dietary needs, offering Gluten-Free and Vegan options.
 
And they put their values into action: donating unsold goods and supporting senior and youth lunch programs (including birthday lunches at Yonge Street Mission).
