How do you teach hands-on culinary programs and produce food for sale when your nutrition analysis tools are slow, outdated, or unreliable? That was SAIT’s challenge.

For over a decade, SAIT’s Baking & Pastry Arts program relied on on-campus lab software to analyze recipe nutrition for both classroom teaching and food sold on campus and off campus. But as their recipes were tailored for food allergies, the nutrition analysis had to be exact, and over time, their software became outdated and couldn’t provide the correct nutrition information.

They needed a solution that was easy enough for students, flexible enough for experimentation and label printing, and consistently up to date to keep their nutrition reporting accurate.
