Township 27 Inc. produces spices, blends, sauces, dressings, and condiments using the highest quality whole ingredients, grinding their unique blends by hand in small batches to maximize freshness and flavour. They prioritize whole, clean, sustainable, and regenerative agriculture, collaborating with local food producers and specialty gourmet markets whenever possible, and sourcing responsibly raised, ethically sourced ingredients when imports are required.

Founded by Eric Krautheim and Naomi Kerr, Township 27 grew from a love of cooking and entertaining into a brand that’s earned attention from chef celebrities, including Chef Marc Swiednicki (the Viking Chef), and led to a collaboration on the Viking Chef line of blends.

The Challenge

When Township 27 Inc. first began production, nutrition labelling wasn’t an issue; they were selling within provincial boundaries. But demand didn’t stay local for long.

As Township 27 expanded across Canada and into the United States, it suddenly needed nutrition fact labels for its products, especially as nutrition labelling became mandatory for food safety certifications. They searched for a software solution that could meet their needs for the next phase of growth (and beyond), but weren’t sure where to start after finding that many sites “claimed to provide all the answers” and didn’t.

1 Before MenuSano: Township 27 started out selling within provincial boundaries, so nutrition labelling wasn’t urgent. But as demand grew nationally (Canada + the U.S.), they needed nutrition fact labels to support their next phase of growth.
2 Finding MenuSano: While searching for an organization/software to help with nutrition fact labelling (and bilingual labelling), they discovered MenuSano.
